Ukraine | Many opposition journalists searched in Ukraine

On Monday, March 12, Ukrainian special services conducted searches of 25 people in different regions of Ukraine. Special services suspect searched people “in carrying out anti-Ukrainian actions.” The propagandists of the Kiev regime usually understand under these actions the opposition activity, which is directed against the official Russophobic ideology. According to available information, searches were conducted in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Lviv, Kharkov and Odessa.
Despite a wide geography, at the moment the names of only two searched journalists are known. This is the head of the Lviv humanitarian group of the “Ukrainian Choice” movement Inna Ivanochko and the Kiev journalist Yuri Lukashin. According to Ivanochko and Lukashin, special services seized telephones, computers, flash drives, business cards. They demonstrated increased interest in archives as well. However, they did not bring any charges.
Meanwhile, the state security spokeswoman said that in the course of the searches, propaganda materials, weapons, and explosives were confiscated.
Opposition journalists are restrainedly commenting on this information. They believe that the special services were not going to conduct mass arrests and acted solely for the purpose of intimidation.
