UK | NATO increases military presence in Black Sea region

On May 1 the ships of the 2nd permanent naval group of NATO entered the Black Sea.
The flagship of the group is the British missile destroyer HMS Duncan (D37). In addition, the group includes the frigates of the Spanish Navy SPS Victoria (F82), the Turkish Navy TCG Gemlik (F492), the German Navy FGS Bayern (F217), and several smaller ships.
In the Black Sea, new members joined the group – the Romanian frigate ROS Regele Ferdinand and the Bulgarian BGS Drazki.

Russia | Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Terminates Cooperation with NATO

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko announced Russia terminates cooperation with NATO. It was reported by Izvestiya.

According to him, the North Atlantic alliance is strengthening the eastern flank against a non-existent threat, having stopped practical cooperation with Russia in areas of common interests.

Make Peace Great Again!

As the world becomes more dangerous by the day, the need for action for peace has never been more vital.  With militarism on the rise, the need for a global people’s alternative – of justice, sustainability and peace – has never been more urgent. Since NATO’s last summit in 2017 we have seen an escalation of nuclear rhetoric between Trump and North Korea and frequent talk of the possibility of world war three. This is not a situation that is tolerable for humanity – to live in the shadow of annihilation and we, the peoples of the world, reject this warmongering.

Montenegro Police Seek to Identify US Embassy Attacker

Montenegrin media reported that a 42-year-old war veteran from the capital Podgorica carried out Wednesday’s grenade attack on the US embassy, although police have yet to confirm this.

Local media on Thursday named the alleged attacker as Dalibor Jaukovic from Podgorica, a war veteran who fought with Yugoslav Army forces in Kosovo in 1999, citing unnamed police sources and Jaukovic’s family.
