A Pakistani high court has demanded details of the government expenses for the two-day visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and his 40-member delegation to Islamabad.

The Lahore High Court was hearing a petition over details of expenses incurred by Islamabad for the royal visit, Express News reported Monday.

Saudi Arabia, on January 29, executed a Filipino domestic worker who was found guilty of murder, Al Jazeera reported on Thursday. The 39-year-old woman, was sentenced to death by the Saudi Supreme Judicial Council and executed after the court ruled out the possibility of her case being eligible for a ‘blood money’ settlement, known as ‘diya’ under Shariah law. Diya is a method of monetary compensation by the accused to the murdered victim’s relatives, in lieu of the capital punishment. The family of the domestic worker were informed of her execution only the next day.

Saudi Arabia | CIA concludes Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman ordered Khashoggi murder

The CIA has concluded in an assessment that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last month.

The US agency said it had collected multiple sources of intelligence indicating that the crown prince, known as MBS, issued the instructions for the killing, the Washington Post reported on Friday.
