Ukraine | Unnoticed searches in Ukraine: a month later

On March 12 a number of Ukrainian opposition activists were searched by state security of Kiev regime. Witnesses state that political police conducted them in unusually correct manner, policemen threw up evidences only in one case in Kharkov. But it was a large nationally coordinated wave of searches organized for a first time after half and year pause. Ukraine | Senseless court sentence in journalists’ case overturned in Ukraine

On February 21 Kiev court of appeal overturned the sentence for two Ukrainian opposition journalists and political prisoners – Dmitriy Vasilets and Evgeny Timonin. They were released from custody in the court room and placed under house arrest. The case was forwarded to the first instance for further consideration.
Previously, Ukrainian court sentenced them to 9 years in jail for alleged ‘aiding separatism and terrorism’ (actually, the media work of these Kiev journalists was interpreted this way). Both journalists insisted they are jailed only for a criticism to Kiev regime and its politics.
As their supportes have written ukrainian opposition journalists are thankful to the lawyers’ team and international campaigners who actually made it possible.
