Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia is under attack

Transcarpathian region is a Western part of Ukraine. It has ethnically mixed population with relatively large Hungarian minority. Since February Ukrainian fascists several times attacked their cultural society. At night on February 4 an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail in the window of Hungarian culture society. The society is located in Uzhgorod, the main city of  Transcarpathia. On February 27 a new attempt was done to put it on fire. It was prepared better and caused a fire in the society office. 25 square meters were burnt. The police noted then that the fire was preceded by an explosion. A week later alleged arsonist was arrested. He is military personnel of Ukrainian army and fought in Donbas on the side of Kiev regime. The court arrested him for two months.

But Ukrainian nationalists have developed paramilitary organizations and one arrest can’t prevent their activity. On March 13 unknown thugs attacked two public activists who protested against fascist march scheduled in Uzhgorod for March 15. Both activists were beaten. Each man was attacked by three unknown persons. The overall handwriting of the attack reveals the existence of a coordinated plan.
