India | Tamil Nadu: heavy drought has caused farmers’ suicides

Chennai, India: Tamil Nadu has sought the Centre to urgently sanction 10 billions rupees for relief and rehabilitation measures to mitigate the drought situation prevailing in the state.

The state, which submitted a detailed memorandum on the drought situation, demanded a total of Rs 395, 65 millions rupees from the National Disasters Response Fund (NDRF).

John McCain (R-Ariz.) asking Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper at Friday’s Senate hearings if Julian Assange has any credibility. Assange has maintained that the hacked or leaked emails of Democratic Party officials did not come from the Russian government, or any other government.
