China | China contributes to over 70 percent of global poverty reduction

The number of Chinese people lifted out of poverty in the last 30 years accounts for more than 70 percent of the world’s total, according to a blue paper on poverty reduction released in December 2016.

Since 1978, China has made great achievements in reducing poverty. From 1978 to 2015, the rural population of China in poverty decreased from 770 million people to 55.75 million, said the blue paper co-produced by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development.

In Odessa, the neo-Nazis from the Right Sector began harassing retired officer Oleg Efimov, who brought flowers to the Russian Consulate in memory of those who died in the recent plane crash.

 

Having heard of catastrophe with Russian aircraft in Sochi hundreds of Odessa residents came to Russian consulate in this Ukrainian city to express their condolences to fraternal nation. They were shocked with death of entire Soviet army chorus very popular among former Soviet citizens. But local fascists had other point of view. They were happy of catastrophe and heavy blow on Russian culture. Ukrainian fascists in Odessa are a small but aggressive minority. They tried to prevent   Odessa residents in their public expression of solidarity with Russia. First of all Ukrainian fascists picked up and throw away all flowers put to the consulate. But people came again and put more flowers. Afterwards fascists have arranged watch near the consulate.
