Ukraine | Ukrainian Army failed to capture a piece of territory in Donbas

On June 29 Ukrainian army suddenly attacked territory of two people’s republics in Donbas. It was large-scale offensive started in the morning unexpectedly for armed forces of Lugansk and Donetsk republics. At the frontline between Svetlodarsk and Debaltsevo ceasefire was not violated for a long time and that is why morning offensive was not foreseen by Donbas military command.

USA | NATO begins massive war games in Ukraine

Member nations of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, including forces from the United States, have launched a large-scale military exercise in western Ukraine. The war games, dubbed Rapid Trident 2016, kicked off at 9 am local time on June 27 at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center (IPSC) in Yavoriv in western Ukraine, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said.
