Polish prosecutors are investigating the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists

During the Second World War, Ukrainian nationalists committed many crimes against the Polish population of Western Ukraine. Polish prosecutors have suggested that these crimes include signs of genocide and have no limitation period.
“From the point of view of the Ukrainian legislation, these cases have become obsolete. So we can not rely on legal aid by Ukraine in the establishing of responsiblity for the killings,” – it was said by the investigator Conrad Beron from the investigation department in “The Institute of National Remembrance.”
Investigators intend to study not only the genocide of Poles, but also murders of Ukrainians committed by Ukrainian nationalists.
