China | Chinese factory replaces 90% of humans with robots, production soars

The gravest fear that has rippled through humanity from the technology industry is that, someday, almost all of our jobs will be replaced by robots.

While that fear is often laughed off as something that will only happen far into the future, the truth is that it’s actually happening right now.

Ukraine | Arrested journalist from Odessa is near to loose her baby

Odessa journalist and political prisoner Elena Glischinskaya is pregnant and has almost lost the baby. On this ground she asked the court to release her from custody.
“I categorically object to the “automatic” extension of my detention, as it has been done already the eighth month – she said in the petition. – The Court did not consider the case in fact, does not account for all the factors, such as health, family and social situation.”
Glischinskaya was arrested in May 2015, and, as it turned out, she was pregnant shortly before her arrest. In prison her health condition deteriorated rapidly. October 21 she started bleeding. She was taken to the race. They found that there is a threat of termination of pregnancy, and recommended an urgent hospitalization. However, the police returned her to jail. December 14 she started bleeding again, but an ambulance was not admitted to her until the next day. Ambulance diagnosed “placental abruption”. Doctors appointed her to bed until February 2016. Instead, she has to travel to court hearings and sit all day in the cold concrete basement of the court.
“My guilt is proved, the investigation is long over, but I’m in inhumane conditions and subjected to constant humiliation of human dignity, – she wrote in the petition. – I’m not in a position to evade trial or investigation, I just need the human condition in order to attend the court session without jeopardizing my life and my child. ”
Glischinskaya also points out that none of the witnesses did confirm the information about her illegal activities. From the first day of her arrest by the state security she is under its constant pressure. Thus, at each interrogation they openly declared that she would sit up for as long as the investigation does not give the necessary evidence in relation to the people’s deputy of Ukraine, whose assistant she worked.
The prosecutor’s office imposes Glischinskaya conducting subversive activities against Ukraine, the impact on public opinion in order to reduce the authority of the current government and the attack on the territorial integrity of the country.
“I have eight months in jail, but dissatisfaction with the power keeps growing, the economy falls, and Crimea and Donbas still are not willing to return to the Ukraine. So can I not in the case? Maybe it does not me who am doing subversion, and the perpetrators are based in Kiev, in government positions?” – Glischinskaya asks.

Negotiations on the situation in the Donbas intensified

Diplomatic contacts on the Ukrainian question intensified for last month.
Dec. 15, 2015 US Secretary of State John Kerry paid a visit to Moscow, where he held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Kerry was trying to get an audience with Putin, but the Russian president chose to take part in the talks together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Shortly afterwards, Russia has replaced its representative at the negotiations in Minsk, where the fate of Donbass is discussed. Boris Gryzlov became the new representative. January 11 before the resumption of talks in Minsk Gryzlov paid a visit to Kiev. Senior Russian officials have not made similar trips more than a year. Ukrainian nationalists were furious, many hawks calling for the continuation of the war in Donbas, publicly outraged, why the Ukrainian army did not shoot down Gryzlov’s plane. In Kiev, Gryzlov held talks with President of Ukraine Poroshenko and his entourage. Ukrainian sources claim that an agreement was reached on the procedure for the exchange of prisoners between Kiev and the rebels.
January 13 Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin held telephone talks. It is known that the two presidents discussed the situation in Ukraine.
Finally, on January 15, Russian president’s assistant Vladislav Surkov and Deputy of the US Secretary of State Victoria Nuland met near Kaliningrad and discussed the Ukrainian question. State Department spokesman John Kirby said that the meeting was held as a continuation of contacts between Secretary John Kerry and Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, December 15, 2015. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the full implementation of the Minsk Agreement. Kirby called the talks constructive. A similar opinion was expressed by Surkov. The parties agreed to submit for consideration of the Normand four some questions relating to the constitutional reform in Ukraine, security and elections in Donbas.
