Ukrainian Miners Protest

There is a coal mine in the town of Novovolynsk in Western Ukraine. At this mine wages are not issued for several months. The miners were given partial salary for June and July only. The total debt amounts to 12 million hryvnia. The mine belongs to the state. After the loss of the coal mines of Donbass Ukrainian authorities should be interested in the development of coal mining, but the Ukrainian government is indifferent to this problem.
Several hundred miners from the trade union were tired of waiting for the government interest and declared a strike. The miners blocked the highway Kovel-Lviv. In the future, they plan to go to Kiev and start a hunger strike at the presidential administration building.
