USA | The TPP: Priority #1 of US Multinational Corporations

Negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade treaty between the U.S. and 11 other Pacific Rim countries were concluded Oct. 5, 2015.

Although the full TPP document is still a secret – to all but the representatives of multinational corporations who chaired the 30 committees and told the government trade representatives what to negotiate – some details of the super-secret deal have been leaking out.

USA | U.S. Tells Iraq: If You Ally With Russia Against ISIS, “You’re Our Enemy”

On October 14th, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the U.S. government had turned down the proposal from Russia’s President Vladimir Putin for the U.S. and Russia to cooperate together to eliminate ISIS and other jihadists in Syria and in Iraq. Lavrov said:

UN agency reaches Donetsk after months of restricted humanitarian access

20 October 2015 – The World Food Programme (WFP) today announced that after a three-month suspension, it has restarted humanitarian activities in the non-Government-controlled area of Donetsk city in eastern Ukraine.

In a press statement, the UN agency said that two truck convoys, carrying enough food for nearly 16,000 people for one month, had reached Donetsk over the past five days.
