Photo exhibition on the humanitarian disaster in Ukraine takes place in Vienna

VIENNA, the 2nd of September. Today, in the center of the Austrian capital, in one of the halls of the museum center “Muzeumskvartir”, exhibition, which was called a “humanitarian catastrophe in the South-Eastern part of Ukraine”, was opened.
Pictures of refugees, destroyed homes, old people hiding in basements and mourning their dead relatives were on the stands. In one corner of the room, parallel to the main exhibition, MIA “Russia Today” presented a small exhibition of works by Andrei Stenin, agency photojournalist, who disappeared in eastern Ukraine on the 5th of August.
“I do not want to take any one side of the conflict, but I try to stick to the facts. And there are a number of facts to which the media pay Austria little attention or no attention,” – of one of the organizers, the president of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society land Styrian Peter Prezinger rsaid at the opening.
Another organizer, representative of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in Austria Mikhail Khoroshev, said that the main objective of the exhibition was to draw attention to the plight of the civilian population in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. As part of the exhibition on Tuesday there were a press conference and a round table, which was attended by eyewitnesses from Mariupol Olga and Roman Trofimov.
However, this exhibition interested members of the Ukrainian side, who have a radical attitude. During the opening ceremony, Ukrainian neo-Nazis, having entered the room, tried to disrupt the event and have a brawl. Provocation was prevented by the Austrian police.
