Nobel Peace Prize goes to UN Goodwill Ambassador and Congolese doctor highlighting sexual violence

Nadia Murad, a Yazidi rights activist and the first Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and Denis Mukwege, a gynecologist who helps victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), were awarded the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday.

Interpol has urged Chinese officials to release information on the whereabouts of Meng Hongwei, the president of the international police agency who went missing after leaving France for China on September 29.

Nigeria | Student Group ANSA Commences Nationwide Anti-acceptance Fee Campaign

The Alliance of Nigerian Students against Neo-liberal Attacks (ANSA) has declared the acceptance fees charged by institutions across the country as illegal and commenced a campaign against it.

This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of its National Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 and signed by Oseriemen Patrick Benjamin  (Sankara), National Secretary; Sodunola Obafemi, National P.R.O. and Adeyeye ‘Femi, National Coordinator.
