Spain | Referendum in Catalonia has finished

Some 761 people have been injured in disturbances across Catalonia on Sunday, the regional government said, as riot police clashed with people who had gathered for a banned referendum on the region’s independence from Spain. Despite the police action, hundreds-strong queues of people formed in cities and villages throughout the region to cast their ballots.

On the 15th of September the dead bodies of a family were discovered by Burmese security forces In Mayu Mountain Rakhine state. The family are believed to be Daingnet minorities. The murders have been blamed on the Arakanese Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA, formerly Harakah al Yakin) a terrorist group with links to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

USA | US Army: West Point grad’s pro-Communism postings being probed

U.S. military officials are investigating a recent West Point graduate who posted photos of himself at his graduation with pro-communist messages under his uniform, including a red Che Guevara T-shirt.

The 10th Mountain Division said Tuesday that Army officials at Fort Drum in northern New York are aware of 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone’s alleged actions and are “looking into the matter.”
