War on fake terror in Ukraine

After the outbreak of the civil war in Ukraine, the media controlled by the Kiev regime launched a powerful stigmatization campaign against the enemy. In the rhetoric of all pro-government media, the term “terrorists” was regularly used. It is used to refer to all the active supporters of the self-proclaimed People’s Republics of Donbas – Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republic. And these republics are named in the media as “terrorist organizations”. Representatives of the Kiev government regularly demand that international organizations recognize these republics as terrorist. One day, it became clear that all this was fake propaganda. In fact, there were no official body of Ukraine issued a decision on the recognition of DPR and LPR by terrorist organizations.

This is evidenced by the responses of the authorities to the requests sent by the imprisoned Sergei Babich, who is under arrest in Artemovsk (temporary renamed in Bakhmut) under art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist organization).

So, Babich appealed to the Administration of the President of Ukraine with a request to provide a list of legal acts, according to which the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics are recognized as terrorist organizations. The administration of the President of Ukraine officially replied that any appropriate act is not known in the Presidential Administration.

The Ukrainian parliament confirmed that the parliament did not accept any legislation that defined the DPR and the LPR as terrorist organizations.

The head of the parliamentary committee for national security and defense said that Ukrainian legislation does not have a procedure to recognize an organization to be terrorist.

There are no decisions made by higher courts too. The Supreme court of Ukraine stated there are no court decisions on the recognition of the DPR and the LPR by terrorist organizations.

In other words, there are no signs that the Ukrainian state officially recognized the DPR and LPR as terrorist organizations at the regulatory and legal level.

As result Sergei Babich and other citizens of Ukraine, convicted under the article “terrorism” for the support of the people’s republics of Donbas, were convicted illegally, since they did not belong to an organization recognized as terrorist. And the attempts of the Ukrainian authorities to obtain the recognition of the DPR and LPR by terrorist organizations at the international level are puzzling.
