Kiev regime lays responsibility for Odessa massacre on slain deputy

Blaming the dead: Why Kiev hung the tragedy of the House of Trade Unions on deceased ‘Kuliovtsa’

October 25: The Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office announced that a suspect in the case of the death of people in the Odessa House of Trade Unions on May 2, 2014, was one of the people killed there — Odessa Regional Council Deputy Vyacheslav Markin. A Federal News Agency correspondent spoke with former Odessa Regional Council Deputy and friend of Markin, Alexey Albu.
According to Ukrainian media, relatives of the deceased recently received notification that Vyacheslav Markin was suspected in the case of the tragedy in the House of Trade Unions. According to the document, Markin first allegedly lured people into the building, and then provoked a clash between Kulikovo field activists [the anti-fascists] and so-called “Euromaidanists” — who, according to the investigators, supposedly committed no crimes, but merely defended the rule of law in Odessa.

It is alleged that the actions of Markin and his colleague Yuri Trofimov led to the deaths of 42 activists of Kulikovo field, including Vyacheslav Markin himself, who, fleeing the flames, jumped out of a window of the burning House of Trade Unions and subsequently died from his injuries in the hospital.
“The attempt to place responsibility for the deaths on May 2 on Regional Council Deputy Vyacheslav Markin is a consequence of the current political situation in the country. Vyacheslav was my friend, and after I arrived with my comrades at Kulikovo field, most of the time he was beside me. I state with full responsibility that he did not make any calls to go inside the building, but on the contrary, urged people to disperse. In the case of May 2, there is one important point: the accusers are the victors in the civil conflict, and they, of course, make every effort to assign responsibility to the citizens of Odessa from the opposition camp, in particular, to the slain Vyacheslav Markin, who can’t say anything in his own defense. He can’t, but I can!” said the coordinator of the banned Union Borotba (Struggle) and survivor of the House of Trade Unions, Alexey Albu.
According to the former deputy, Ukrainian authorities are trying to lay the blame not on the people who brought the right-wing militants to Odessa in April (like ex-governor of the Odessa region Vladimir Nemirovsky), not on those who gave the command to send angry fighters from the city center to the Kulikovo field (like the deputy governor, chief of the Division of Law Enforcement, Defense and Combatting Corruption of the Odessa Regional State Administration Igor Bolyansky ), not on those who armed the far right, not on those who urged people to jump out of the windows, but on those who defended themselves. Therefore, said Albu, it is now very convenient to remove all responsibility from some officials who continue to hold very high positions in Ukraine, and to blame a person who can never say anything.

“Plenty of myths have been created about the massacre which took place on May 2, 2014. One of these myths is that all the people were killed by fire and smoke, as well as from falling from a height. It’s a lie! People inside the building, were shot, stabbed and strangled! The person on whom they want to hang the blame for the deaths in Odessa, was finished off after he jumped from the window! And not only him! The day of reckoning will come for sure, and sooner or later they will have to answer for all their deeds. So I would recommend the prosecutors think twice about their own, in my opinion, illegal actions,” summed up Alexey Albu.
